Print Tracker Puts Scan Counters into e-automate
Print Tracker dealers who have invested in the Data Processor and are using the e-automate ERP system can now have scan counters automatically inserted along with the meter reads.
“As end users convert from printing on paper to storing scanned images, document feeders and other scan parts experience more use and may wear out sooner,” said Print Tracker President Lance Hale. “At some point dealers may want to charge for scans in order to recuperate funds spent on repairing or replacing scan equipment. Recording these scan counters in the billing system becomes a necessity.”
The Print Tracker Data Processor looks up equipment in the e-automate database, checks to see if the current scan counter is higher and newer than the previous one, and adds it to the database. Standard e-automate report and billing functions now have the data needed for analysis and/or invoicing. Exception reports allow administrators to know when challenges occur in entering counters so corrective action can be taken.
